Elena Scarlata is an award winning designer
known for her unique patterns,
bright colours and eco-fabric handprinted
by an old Sicilian handprint tecnique.


Graphic Designer Carreer 

Since she begin her carreer as a textile designer
she won several international awards, such us:
HOMI Makers Milan (2017),
Pulse London 2018, London Craft Week 2019 (Italian Table) 
and important collaboration with Museum shops: 
Ara Pacis Rome, MACRO Rome,
Triennale Museum Milano,
British Library London,
University of Art London, to mention just a few.

After study at IED and at the London College of Art (UAL)
she works 10 years as a Graphic Designer for prestigious British
and American multinationals company
in fashion, corporate
and events fields.

In the 2017 she moved to Italy where she has established 

her atelier where she also lives.

Also she attended several handprinted fabric courses in London
before begin her carreer as an indipendent designer
inspired by Enzo Mari, 
and the Art & Craft theory by William Morris.

She mix her design experience, love for art,
and Mediterrenean Identity in a kind of unique
and sustainable handprint fabric product
that is emotionally engaged, functional and sustainable.

There she discover her sensibilty for fabric thanks also
to her grandmother and mum, with experiences 
on luxury fabrics and embroidery where she took
her DNA and inspirations.
